Nigerian parade with photos

So like I promised im putting up the photos that I took at the Nigerian Parade on Saturday! There were a lot of people dressed so fly for this event! This really expressed what I mean when I say street fashion.
So this friend of mine had a great theme of color going for her! Her jacket is so cute and the pastel pink of her shirt really mad the colors and pattern of the jacket stand out!
This girl had a different approach she went more matchy matchy which is okay but not as bold however it is still a well put together outfit and I love her hairstyle. Also her boots really give her outfit the edge that it needed to be a bit bold. I also like the design of her tied crop top.
My friend here happens to be one of my favorites!! She looks so good! I luv her pants the pattern is so bold and exciting and i am in love with tribal clothing at the moment! Also I luv her turban idea i think it really brings the outfit together and was the perfect accessory to this ensemble.
kk so this girls outfit is of the more cuter side there rlly isn't any thing so exciting about it but i really do luv it. I especially luv her braid and hoop earrings.
First off I luv her braids and i am def planing on trying this style with twists. She rlly is representing Nigeria here with her face paint and  head tie. I especially like the way she tied it, I find it very unique and interesting!

With this grl I just thought it was cute I wuldnt neccesarily try this on myself but I think she looked great in it. However i like how she was reppin Nigeria with her headtie.
When me and my friend saw this we were stunned she looks great and is also another one of my favorites!!!! I am def a fan on white and black stripes with red I think it is one of the best combinations of color and i luv how this outfit was put together. And once again we have another long braid which i love on her and i like how she styled it before it went down.
Another one of my friends that I love. I think her jacket looks rlly cute and the makeup is just perfect!!! Everything is just plain great and on point! I luv her necklace too!!!
Same friend again but with some other friends. The one in the green's headtie was very creative and I luv it! She was also reppin Nigeria wearing the green and I like how she paired it with the skirt and belt.
k another one of my friends I luv her color scheme and her decision th wear the hat. I also luv her socks!
Both these girls look great I luv their jackets ad the bun. Also the brown bag is rlly cute!
k and last but definitely least I think that this outfit was the very best. The bag, shirt ,shoes, and shirts were all just perfect!!! I think that her headtie is done so well! Her socks and shoes are so cute. There is nuthing bout dis outfit that I can say I wuld change. It is soo great. Her shade are cute too.LUV IT!!!!!!

Why Spend Soo Much???

So I like designer brands just like most people do but they are very expensive. Because of their price I cannot afford for everyone of my clothes to be Gucci, Prada,or D&G. So I have a few that are designer and some that are not. For the stuff that are not stores like H&M and Forever21 are helpful. However there are tons of people I know that will go out of their way to buy designer stuff just so they can fit in or feel better about themselves. I think that is just plain STUPID! And what is even dumber is that half the time the things that they buy is not even that cute or worth the money. The only reason that they want it is for the name on the tag. Even though I love designer brands, I don't buy it because it is designer. I buy it because it is cute.
Like the shirt above is okay but its not so cute that I would buy it for 77.00 dollars. The shirt isn't even worth that much. This shirt is actually not worth more than 1 dollar. So that means that Wildfox is getting a 76 dollar profit for a shirt I would only wear to sleep! Even if I had a million dollars to spend on clothes I still wouldn't buy this for 77 dollars. Do you know how much I could buy with 77 dollars???Three word shoes from Aldo!!!! So my point today is that you can look fashionable and trendy without breaking your bank. Just look at the 2 sets below.

These two set look very similar. Both of the use color block and spring colors. The color scheme is the same and so is the jewelry. The only difference is that 1 is more expensive than the other. Which one do you guys think is more expensive?

Inspirations in Fashion

So as this first post I want to discuss fashion inspirations. Have you ever stopped to think where does fashion come from, who begins it, and why people follow it? The answers to this question will differ but for my self I say it starts in the streets. I don't think that runway is always the best choice to look to for inspiration. Afterall, there are some clothing on the runway that you see and you wonder who would ever buy that? Clothing like this:
Now even though this dress is not exactly my style I can see the point that the designer is trying to get accross. The theme of this model's attire is color block which happens to be one of my favorite aspects of fashion. But not everyone can see that right away and for those people that want to be fashionable but do not know how to achieve it then nothing is beter than street fashion. Fashion is made for the people by the people. We do not need designers telling us what to wear or how to wear it(even though its helpful;). Fashion is an art and it is thought through by the artist. Did anyone ever tell Picasso how to draw..... NO. So nobody should be told how to express themselves through fashion. I like to dabble in many different trends and genres of fashion and here is how I express myself:

As you can see you can have more than 1 kind of style.  You can be preppy, bohemic, and swagtastic all at once. And that's the beauty of  Fashion!!!!Feel free to comment on what youy think of the outfits I created I would luv it good or bad it can only make me get better. Thanx in Advance!!!
